"We had KFX Roofing amongst 11 other roofing companies in Columbus come out to evaluate our large failing flat roof on a multiplex. Like so many roofs in Columbus, years of shoddy work and incompetence had us be extremely diligent in our selection process - I am looking for a roofing professional and a competent crew to be able to fully assess, craft up a comprehensive approach, and also flag areas where we might need to anticipate change orders once the old roof was taken off. A core sample was done on the current roof and we found that there were 3 unpermitted roofs layered on top, so water logged to a point where it was like a trampoline. KFX walked through the multi-step process of pre-prep for the job, coordinated the logistics for waste (tarps, magnets to pull up nails, and dumpster to clean up). The crew were punctual each day, pushed to get the job done, and KFX was incredibly communicative when we found that decking had wood rot, logged a detailed list of materials and change orders, and deeply committed to getting the roof properly assembled.
